Learning Technology and Courseware Innovation
The mandate of the Learning Technology & Courseware Innovation group is to
- support the effective use of technology for teaching and learning, and
- foster the development of innovative and effective learning environments.
LTCi works primarily with on-campus courses, supporting courseware development used
to complement face-to-face teaching and enhance the learning experience of students. We
support the use of technology for teaching and learning by providing:
- tools such as Desire2Learn, web templates and workstations with equipment and
software
- training in technology such as Desire2Learn, web, PowerPoint, multimedia
- expertise in courseware design, digital media, and web technology
- consultation on the effective integration of technology in teaching inside and
outside a classroom
- providing leadership and fostering innovation by conducting research on best
practices, highlighting emerging technology, organizing events to share ideas and
strategies.
