Exam Information
Final Exams
Some of our courses require you to write traditional "sit-down" final exams. You can view the online exam schedule. You'll know the date and the time of your exam if your course requires you to write one.
Those studying at a distance are welcome to ask for an alternate exam location. To make these arrangements, complete the online Examination Information Form. Make these arrangements as early as possible in the semester. Then, about 3 weeks before your exam is scheduled, Cassandra will send you a confirmation of the alternate location in the mail. If you have questions, contact Cassandra Etheridge at 519 824-4120 x. 56776 or olexams@OpenEd.uoguelph.ca.
Please note: Off campus exams are not necessarily scheduled for the same date and time as the on-campus exams. You may be required to write your off-campus exam earlier than the on-campus exam date. Students must be available to write at any date and time during the scheduled exam period.
Every effort will be made to locate an exam site in your preferred city, however, due to exam site availability, this may not always be possible.
If you are a student living in Toronto, be advised that even though Toronto is within reasonable driving distance of Guelph, we do have exam sites in that city. So, should you prefer to write your examination at a Toronto location rather than coming to Guelph, please be sure to indicate such as early as possible in the semester by completing the online Examination Information Form.
Please note: Students requesting to write exams at international locations are no longer responsible for securing their own proctor. An exam date, time and location will be found for students, however, students are still responsible for paying any related costs as a result. International exam schedules will be emailed to students by no later than Week 9 of the class.
