An introduction to many of the important aspects of running a horse-housing establishment. Good management of the equine environment will provide a safe, efficient and healthy environment for the horses in your care. Management of the Equine Environment provides you with access to the latest research and helps you immediately apply what you learn in a practical way to your situation.

This course is entirely online, so travel to the University of Guelph is NOT required.

Management of the Equine Environment is a core course in the Equine Science Certificate, Certificate in Equine Business Management, and Diploma in Equine Studies programs.

Course Prerequisites

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent,
or at least 18 years of age.

It is recommended certificate and diploma students complete Management of the Equine Environment first, or very early in their course of studies.
